Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Telecaster ‘52 vintage reissue model TL52-700 in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This upper-tiered “Made in Japan” Telecaster was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, with vintage-correct touches including USA-made black bobbin pickups, dome-top knurled, brass saddles, and flathead screws used throughout.
Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Tele weighs 7lbs 7oz, with plenty of natural chime and midrange complexity. The pickups are the same single coils used in Fender's early American Vintage '52 models, with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads, a brass baseplate on the bridge pickup, and flush-mount alnico pole pieces. The guitar delivers a bevy of classic Tele tonalities, with the articulation, twang, and dynamic liveliness associated with the first Blackguard Teles, offering focused bite at the bridge and gutsy chop at the neck. This TL52-700 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
