Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Pro Feel Series Stratocaster model STR-850LS in excellent, 100% original condition, finished in custom color Blueberry Sunburst. Part of the short-lived, upper-tiered Pro-Feel series, this rare “Made in Japan” model was produced at the Fujigen factory and designed only to be sold to the Japanese domestic market, featuring an ash body, maple neck, slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard, and a trio of USA-made Lace Sensor pickups
The Lace Sensor pickups have a silky smooth and snappy range of sounds: the Lace Sensor Silvers in the neck and middle positions have a fat '70s-style single coil response with increased output and midrange. The Lace Blue at the bridge is reminiscent of a '50s humbucker, dynamic with ample warmth and kick in a single coil configuration. As with all Lace products, these pickups feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, giving the player a wider tonal range and better string-to-string balance than traditional pickups. Additionally, the active MDX mid-boost circuit enables notable thickening of the sound when dialed up for a fullness not typically afforded via most single coil pickups. This STR-850LS weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The transparent gloss Blueberry Sunburst appears almost purplish/blue-black from a distance, revealing the grain of the ash body under close inspection. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few minor nicks and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss.
