Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Stratocaster ‘62 vintage reissue model ST62-50 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Strat was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan, produced for the Japanese domestic market and uncommon outside its country of origin.
Weighing 7lbs 15oz, tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fingerboard for a balanced natural acoustic quality. Via Fender Japan’s ST-Vintage single coils, the bridge position has a sparkling upper midrange focused cut, the middle pickup has a percussive snap, and the neck position is throaty and warm while still having a peppy snap in the top end. Positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector switch offer a thinned-out squawk.
