Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Pro Feel Jazz Bass model JBR-800, finished in gloss Walnut and outfitted with a pair of Fender's Pure Vintage '66 pickups. This uncommon “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, featuring modern, player-friendly touches including a contoured neck heel and 9 1/2“ fretboard radius.
Tonewoods include a lightweight ash body, a maple neck, and a thick slab rosewood fretboard, and this bass weighs 8lbs 6oz. The upgraded pair of Fender Pure Vintage ‘66 Jazz Bass single coils are faithful to vintage spec, featuring Alnico 5 magnets, period-correct cloth-covered leads and fiber bobbins, and flush-mount, unbeveled pole pieces. These pickups deliver quintessential Jazz Bass tonalities, with smooth growl and upper-midrange burp, and rolling off the Tone knobs yields ample thump. This JBR-800 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The finish on the neck profile has a worn-in, semi-gloss feel via palm wear, with a few shallow marks along the profile length.
