Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Order Made Telecaster in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This rare “Made in Japan” Tele was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production; the Order Made program was a sort of Japanese custom shop, offering non-catalog finish and component options. This particular Telecaster is a particularly stellar example of the breadth of features available on Order Made instruments, with a rare gloss Transparent Black finish, gold hardware throughout, '52-spec plastics, and a pair of Fender's American Vintage single coil pickups.
Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Tele weighs 8lbs 12oz. The American Vintage '52 Telecaster single coils feature cloth-covered leads and flush-mount, unbeveled pole pieces (bridge), delivering a bevy of quintessential Tele tonalities with chewy twang in the bridge position and girthy chop at the neck. This Order Made Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The rare custom color gloss Transparent Black finish highlights the dynamic grain in the ash body, and cosmetic wear is limited to pick scuffing (largely constrained to the pickguard), and a few small nicks and light finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.
A gigbag is included.
