Up for sale, a 1990 Fender "Order Made" Telecaster Custom ‘72 vintage reissue model TC72 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a tweed hardshell case. Crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production as part of Fender Japan’s Order Made program, which functioned as a sort of Custom Shop and offered a bevy of non-catalog features, this Telecaster is visually stunning with an Olympic White gloss finish on the body, neck profile and headstock, and a one-of-a-king leopard tortoise pickguard.
An early example, this "Made in Japan" Telecaster Custom features a Wide Range humbucker in the neck position and a traditional Tele single coil at the bridge. This Tele has a broad tonal spectrum, offering thick, meaty humbucker tones in the neck position and, twangy single coil snap at the bridge. The middle position is a "best of both worlds" setting, and the two pickups balance well both in terms of output and their respective tonal attributes. This Tele weighs 8lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

With its pickguard arguably as its most visually defining feature, it's worth reasserting the originality of this rare guard, lined with shielding foil on the back as with Fender Japan guards of the era, and perfectly matching the mounting hole pattern. The gloss Olympic White finish exhibits light buckle wear at the bass-side waist on the back, some light scuffs and nicks along the lower bout body edge, and a few small dings on top behind the bridge. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.
An era correct Fender G&G tweed hardshell case is included (a significant upgrade over the gigbag which was likely paired with this guitar when sold new).
