Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Order Made Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This rare “Made in Japan” Strat was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan as part of the Order Made program, which offered numerous non-catalog finish and component options. Based on a '57 Stratocaster platform, the distinctive Order Made element of this particular Stratocaster is its scalloped fretboard. Similar in its stylings to the Yngwie Malmsteen models offered in the early years of Made in Japan production, this Strat has been upgraded with a trio of single coil-sized Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbuckers and a wiring harness with new USA-made components.

Tonewoods include a basswood body and a one-piece scalloped maple neck, offering a balanced, clear natural acoustic profile for the hot humbuckers. The USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups feature ceramic magnet construction, and the overwound coils deliver bold humbucker tones; cleans are fat and warm, solos have a thick, fluid feel, and these pickups take gain notably well with loads of midrange harmonics and an aggressive crunch for chording. This Strat weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Candy Apple Red finish has a pair of chips on the treble-side lower bout, some minor dings on the body as a whole, and a light area of buckle rash on the back central to the waist. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile highlights subtle birdseye figuring in the maple, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that aren't distracting to the palm while fretting.

A gigbag is included.
