Up for sale, a 1990 Charvel by Jackson Super Dinky SDK-085-HH electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. Made at the Chu Shin factory in Japan and sold exclusively to the Japanese domestic market, this SDK model is an elegant, expertly crafted instigator of shred. Featuring a transparent gloss See Through Red finish over an ash body, a bolt-on quartersawn rock maple neck, and a thick slab rosewood fingerboard with a full 24 fret range, this quality Charvel offers unparalleled access to the highest frets with a tried and true tonewood complement. The stock Jackson pickups include a J-80 humbucker in the bridge position, channeling the natural note attack and midrange complexity of the ash body, while the neck position pickup is a medium output J50 humbucker that produces a full sound with great definition. The five-way selector super switch including coil splitting options in positions 2 and 4 for glassy single coil spank. Weighing 7lbs 12oz, this Super Dinky has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, spot-on intonation, and fast action. The quartersawn rock maple neck has a slim and fast-feeling D shaped profile carve with full shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .735” deep at the 1st fret and .830" at the 12th. The particularly thick slab 24 fret rosewood fretboard is a dark, tight-grained cut featuring mini dot inlay, original jumbo fretwire, and a 16” radius. The frets are flawless with their full factory height and perfectly rounded crowns, playing well in all registers up the straight neck. The scale length measures 24 3/4“, and the locking nut is 1 5/8” wide, holding pitch exceptionally well against the most dynamic of dives with the stock Charvel-branded Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo system. On the headstock, the original black Jackson-branded Gotoh-made tuners are present and turn smoothly. On the body, the stock electronics function as intended, with Master Volume and Tone knobs and a five-way pickup selector switch governing the Jackson HH pickup array. The five-way selector functions as follows:1. Bridge humbucker2. Neck and Bridge single coils (outer poles)3. Neck and Bridge humbuckers4. Neck and Bridge single coils (inner poles)5. Neck humbuckerThe black hardware shows a bit of light pitting on the neck plate and jack plate, and the Charvel-branded Floyd Rose licensed tremolo is complete with matching black arm. Cosmetic wear on the See Through Red gloss finish is limited to light pick scuffing across the strum path, a few tiny nicks and faint scuffs and minor marks on the body as a whole, and a tiny bit of finish checking at the edge of the neck pocket. Aside from a couple faint marks and one small chip in the rosewood on the bass-side edge at the 4th fret, the neck sports a clean, smooth satin finish. The original gigbag is included.
