Up for sale, a 1989 PGM Moon HSH Superstrat in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Ostensibly a one-off with no other known examples even approaching the specs of this model, this Moon is loaded with a trio of Gotoh-made pickups wired to five-way switch, coil tapping the humbuckers (screw coil active) in positions 2 and 4. The bridge pickup has a strong upper midrange cut, and the tapped and single coil positions offer fluid spank and articulate cleans, while the neck pickup is fat, yet detailed. And while the humbuckers meter at ~12k ohms, they’re particularly open and uncompressed, highly responsive to picking dynamics. This Moon weighs 7lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action and accurate intonation.
