Up for sale, a 1989 Levinson Blade B2 “Tetra Bass” in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Blade instruments are the brainchild of Gary Levinson, designed in Switzerland and crafted with top-notch fit and finish work in Japan. This souped up Jazz Bass-style instrument features Blade’s active electronics, a Leo Quan Badass Bass II bridge, and a translucent gloss See-Thru Red finish.
Tonewoods include an ash body with a maple neck capped by a rosewood fretboard, and this bass weighs 9lbs 3oz. The pair of active single coil pickups deliver ample presence, growl and thump, and there are a wide array of tones on tap via the active controls with Pickup Blend and Treble and Bass EQ knobs. This Blade B2 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The satin finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with a scant few shallow marks along the bass side shoulder that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
