This Les Paul Custom comes from an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production, featuring a carved maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, bound ebony fingerboard, and a pair of Bill Lawrence-designed super humbuckers.

Weighing 10lbs 2oz, the guitar delivers a bold, muscly acoustic voice with great warmth and treble chime. At the heart of this Les Paul Custom are a pair of Bill Lawrence-designed Super Humbuckers, known colloquially as Gibson's "circuit board" pickups. These short-lived medium output pickups handle gain extremely well, delivering a detailed array of tones that can be bright and growly or thick and punchy with the flip of a switch. This Les Paul Custom has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Alpine White nitro gloss finish has aged to a rich cream-colored hue, framed by multi-ply binding and exhibiting limited checking. Very well-kept, cosmetic wear includes light buckle rash central to the back and some minor dings on the body, largely relegated to the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm.
