Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Telecaster ‘72 vintage reissue model TL72-55 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early “Made in Japan” Tele was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, uncommon outside of its country of origin.

Tonewoods include an ash body and one-piece maple neck, and this guitar has a bold natural acoustic quality with great treble snap and midrange oomph, qualities captured by the pickup pair. The TL-Single alnico magnet pickups deliver focused, gutsy twang in the bridge position and a smooth percussive cut at the neck. Weighing 7lbs 8oz, this Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Butterscotch finish exhibits sparse checking, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple minor dings and light finish scratches, as well as a bit of pick scuffing across the guard. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless save for a few shallow marks behind frets 2-3 that are virtually undetectable to the palm.

A gigbag is included.
