Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Telecaster ‘62 vintage reissue model TL62-600 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced at the Fujigen factory, this “Made in Japan” Tele is an uncommon model, sporting a Charcoal Burst gloss finish. This "toasted" finish has dark streaking in the transparent Butterscotch gloss, highlighting the grain of the American basswood body.

The pair of TL-Vintage single coil pickups deliver Tele snap and punch, with chewy twang at the bridge, while the neck pickup is sweet and bell-like with a woody, percussive cut. Lightweight at 7lbs 3oz, this TL62-600 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

This particular Charcoal Burst finish still presents notably close to when it was new, as the dark streaking has a propensity to fade with UV exposure over the decades. Cosmetic wear is limited to one finish chip on the bass-side lower bout body edge, pick scuffing on top largely constrained to the guard, and some minor dings on the body as a whole. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A faux leather gigbag is included.
