Up for sale, a 1989 Fender "Order Made" Jazz Bass model JB62-60M in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This rare “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, and the Order Made program offered a bevy of non-catalog finish and component options.
A particularly unique Order Made example, this Jazz Bass has an amalgam of vintage features including an ash body with a Blonde gloss finish, '70s block headstock logo, gold hardware throughout (including knurled knobs and three-bolt F neck plate), and a pickguard-less design. Offering notable punch and sustain as 12lbs 6oz, the pair of JB-Vintage single coil pickups deliver a range of midrange-forward Jazz Bass tonalities, with plenty of burp and articulate growl, a clear treble response, and thick thump with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. This Order Made Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Blonde finish shows yellowing of the clear coat, highlighting the dynamic grain in the ash body (particularly on the back). Cosmetic wear is limited to faint scuffing on top along the pick path and a handful of minor dings on the back and perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, highlighting subtle figuring in the maple, and there are a couple shallow marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.
A gigbag is included.
