1989 Fender Jazz Bass Fretless ‘62 Vintage Reissue JB62-60FL Sunburst, Japan MIJ Fujigen

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Jazz Bass Fretless ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-60FL in perfect working order. This early “Made in Japan” fretless Jazz Bass was crafted at the Fujigen factory, uncommon outside of its country of origin.

Tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and slab unlined rosewood fretboard, and this JB62-60FL weighs 8lbs 7oz. The stock pair of JB-Vintage single coil pickups deliver plenty of growl, burp, and cut, throaty and punchy with the Tone rolled off and the neck pickup favored. This bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 D’Addario Chromes flatwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss three-tone Sunburst finish includes light buckle wear and a number of dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole, largely concentrated along the perimeter and on the back. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that are imperceptible to the palm while fretting.

A gigbag is included.
