Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Stratocaster ‘57 vintage reissue model ST57-650 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a softshell case. This “Made in Japan” Strat was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, uncommon outside of its country of origin and loaded with a factory-installed trio of Fender's American Vintage 57/62 single coils.
Tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, and this ST57-650 has a bright, immediate acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the American Vintage single coil pickups. Featuring staggered, unbeveled alnico poles, black bobbin flatwork, and cloth-covered leads, the 57/62 pickups yield a sweet, sparkling cut in the bridge position, with woody, bell-like chop at the neck. Strat hollow quack can be achieved via the “in-between” positions on the three-way pickup selector switch too. This ST57-650 weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
