Up for sale, a 1997 Charvel Soloist Model-2 in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, compete with a hardshell case. This exceedingly rare Charvel was crafted at the Chushin factory in Japan as part of an exclusive deal with Japanese vendor Rock Inn. Most closely resembling a 750XL, this Soloist Model-2 also shares the same set neck construction and carved figured maple top as the Jackson-branded Soloist Arched-Top Custom (also produced at Chushin).
With a Shawn Lane-centric feature set, this Charvel features a Schaller-made Floyd Rose tremolo, rare gold-plated hardware, and a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers. Pickups include Duncan's SH-1 ‘59 PAF humbucker in the neck position and a JB (TB-4) at the bridge. The SH-1 ‘59 is wound in the vein of Gibson's PAF, delivering the open, detailed sound of that iconic design with warm, spongey lows and sweet treble growl. The JB (TB-4) is SD’s most popular pickup and the original hot-rodded humbucker. This high-power pickup delivers full, powerful lows, crisp and detailed highs, and an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords and translates to a singing, vocal-like quality for melodic playing. The five-way pickup selector also coil taps the humbuckers in positions 2 and 4. This Charvel Soloist Model-2 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Transparent Amber finish highlights the flame figuring in the bookmatched two-piece carved maple top top, and while conservatively "near mint," there’s barely a mark on the body. The gold hardware exhibits light surface patina, particularly on the pickup surrounds and knurled knobs. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
A black tolex hardshell case is included.
