Up for sale, a 1988 Fender Limited Edition Pink Paisley Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Visually unique, this model ST72-125PRD Stratocaster retains its original pink paisley pickguard, while the body has been refinished in a coppery red lacquer, not dissimilar from Fender Japan’s Burgundy Mist finishes of the era.
Weighing 7lbs 10oz, this Stratocaster features a white ash body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, delivering a smooth, balanced natural acoustic tone. The pickups are the same USA-made Fender single coils used in the earliest American Standard models, with a flat pole alnico magnet design. The bridge has a focused gutsy spank, with smoother bell-like percussive cut at the neck and hollow squawk at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch.
