Up for sale a 1988 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-60 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden era of Fender Japan production and is uncommon outside of its country of origin.
The tonewood complement comprises a basswood body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JB62 weighs 9lbs 1oz. The stock pair of JB-Vintage single coil pickups deliver plenty of growl, burp, and cut, throaty and punchy with the Tone rolled off and the neck pickup favored. This JB62-60 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish includes scuffing along the pick path, light buckle rash central to the back and some minor dings on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the back and perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, highlighting subtle flame figuring in the maple.
The original faux leather padded gigbag is included.
