Up for sale, a 1988 Vibro Thang FX22 vibrato pedal from the “Lamb Series” in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and all factory paperwork. This run of 1990’s DOD effects is increasingly gaining popularity due to their quality construction and unique sonic signature, hailing from when punk rock skateboarder Jason Lamb was at the helm of DOD's analog pedal division. This unique vibrato features a phasing circuit, designed to add dimension and color in the style of a rotary speaker. It’s flexible; able to deliver dry vibrato and wet, wah-flavored warbles alike. The phasing is subtle unless cranked, and the vibrato has an impressive depth, with a significant volume differential between the peak and valley.Controls include RPMs, Drop, Intensity, and Image knobs. RPMs dictates speed; Drop is for the depth of the vibrato; Intensity controls the amount of phasing in the tone (rolled off is a more traditional vibrato sound, cranked is the shimmering weirdness the FX22 has become known for); Image controls the phasing regeneration of the FX22, and still impacts the vibrato even when Intensity is turned down. This particular unit is in fantastic shape, with barely a mark on the red sparkle enclosure. The original box, factory paperwork and manual are included.
