Up for sale, a 1988 DOD FX-17 Wah-Volume pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced from 1988-2000, this first-year example of the DOD FX-17 offers dual Wah/Volume functionality with a much smaller form factor (roughly 6” x 3 1/4“ x 2”) than most expression pedals, saving precious space on a pedalboard while still offering solid sweep and performance thanks to DOD’s unique variable capacitor plate-based design. There’s a small button on the right side of the enclosure which toggles between Wah and Volume, with two internal trim pots to adjust the sweep of the two functions. As a wah, the FX-17 has a fairly wide sweep akin to a Morley, especially with the trim pot adjusted for more width. The wah is actuated by rocking down towards the heel, as opposed to pressing down to the toe. The pedal runs on either a 9v power supply with a ⅛” male input, or a 9v battery (neither are included), with a secondary jack for 0 to +5V control voltage. This pedal is built like a tank, with a handful of minor marks on the robust enclosure. The serialized foil sticker on the bottom dates the pedal to 1988.
