Up for sale, a 1988 B.C. Rich Warlock NJ Series vintage electric guitar in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. From the first production run of the sought after NJ Series, short for Nagoya Japan, this neck through body Warlock is crafted with the utmost skill and attention to detail, easily competing with its US-made counterparts. A particularly rare upscale iteration with gold hardware and diamond inlay, this Warlock is loaded with the original humbucker pair. The pickups have PAF-style output, measuring in the upper 7k ohms range and offering a harmonically rich, midrange forward response. The neck position is bold and beefy, while the bridge pickup is more focused and biting. This Warlock weighs 8lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and fast action. The maple neck has a slender, fast-feeling C shaped profile with modestly rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .790” deep at the 1st fret and .855” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features pearloid diamond inlay and pristine stock jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays well in all registers up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 24 3/4“, and the stock nut measures 1 11/16“ in width, just forward of the locking nut for the Floyd Rose. The six-on-a-side headstock features gold B.C. Rich-branded tuners, and the serial number sticker is present on the back.On the body, the electronics function as intended, with a three-way pickup selector toggle, Master Volume, and individual Tone controls for each pickup. The gold hardware is particularly well-kept, and the Floyd Rose Licensed vibrato works smoothly for deep dives and broad, expressive bends. The gloss White finish shows faint yellowing of the clear coat, and cosmetic wear is limited to tiny finish chips on the lower bout body tips and a couple faint marks on the treble side lower bout edge and corner of the tremolo route. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.A gigbag is included.
