1987 Fender Telecaster Thinline '72 Vintage Reissue TN72-75 Natural w/ Maxon Wide Range, Japan MIJ Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1987 Fender Telecaster Thinline ‘72 vintage reissue model TN72-75 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, loaded with a pair of Maxon-made Wide Range humbuckers. This “Made in Japan” Tele was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, offered to the domestic Japanese market and uncommon outside its country of origin.

Loaded with a pair of vintage Maxon-made Wide Range humbuckers that actually predate the instrument by a decade (found in Greco instruments circa '78), these pickups are quite tonally faithful to the original Wide Range design, fat and full-sounding with a distinctive percussive cut. The ash body provides a certain midrange punch, and the semi-hollow construction adds breadth to the sound. This Tele is featherweight at 6lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
