Up for sale, a 1987 Charvel by Jackson Model 2 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. Produced at the Chu Shin factory in Japan as part of a licensing agreement between IMC and Jackson/Charvel, this no-frills Superstrat features a Floyd Rose-licensed Jackson JT6 tremolo and a gloss Pearl White finish.
The locking tremolo and slab 22-fret rosewood fretboard differentiates the Model 2 from the Model 1, and this guitar features a quartersawn maple neck and basswood body. The sound is immediate and clear, with the added warmth of the rosewood board, providing an ideal acoustic platform for the J90C ceramic magnet humbucker. This high-output humbucker is built to shred, offering high gain crunch for monster chording and white-hot melodic playing. Weighing 8lbs 2oz, this Model 2 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Quartersawn maple
-Shape: Slender D, full shoulders, measuring .780" 1st fret, .870" 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 12”-16” compound radius, 22-fret
-Fretwire: Jumbo, faint wear beneath G and B strings on frets 1-9
-Scale: 25 1/2"
-Nut: 1 11/16" + locking nut
-Tuners: Jackson-branded, Gotoh
Body Specs:
-Wood: Basswood
-Pickup: Jackson J90C x1
-Harness: December, 1987 pot code
-Control: Volume
-Hardware: Jackson JT6 Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, dome-top knurled knob
The gloss Vintage Ivory finish is well-kept, with cosmetic wear limited to some minor dings on the lower bout on top and light pick wear. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
A gigbag is included.
