Up for sale, a 1987 B.C. Rich Warlock NJ Series electric guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original fitted gigbag. From the first production run of the sought after NJ Series (short for Nagoya, Japan), this bolt-on B.C. Rich is crafted with the utmost skill and attention to detail, easily competing with its US-made counterparts. Flaunting a menacingly contoured gloss Hot Pink body, maple neck, thick slab rosewood fretboard, and stock pair of hot humbuckers, this Warlock can conjure the shreddiest of spells. Engineered for high gain, the pickups are modeled after the Dimarzio Super Distortion with a high output ceramic magnet design engineered to provide a range of roaring tonalities with ample output and midrange push, each metering in the mid 11k ohms range. This Warlock weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and fast action. The neck has a slender D shaped profile with good shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .755” deep at the 1st fret and .845” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and stock jumbo fretwire with virtually no wear. The guitar plays well in all registers up the 12” radius fretboard, with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod.  The scale length is 24 3/4“, and the stock nut measures 1 11/16“ in width, just forward of the locking nut for the Floyd Rose. The matching Hot Pink six-on-a-side headstock features chrome B.C. Rich-branded tuners, and the serial number sticker is present on the back.On the body, the electronics function as intended, with a three-way pickup selector toggle, Master Volume and individual Tone controls for each pickup wired to full-sized Japanese pots that date to '87. The chrome-plated hardware is particularly clean, with plenty of shine and only a hint of surface patina. The original chrome arm is intact for the Floyd Rose Licensed tremolo, and the unit is very responsive, pulling off deep dives and quick flutters with ease. Cosmetic wear on the Hot Pink finish is limited to some requisite scuffing in the pick path, with marks and minor finish chips mostly relegated to the lower bout tips and body parameter. The neck profile sports a clean, smooth satin finish. The original gigbag is included.
