Up for sale, a 1986 Yamaha SG3000 Custom in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The top-tier model in Yamaha’s SG family, the SG3000 features ornate abalone top binding and fretboard inlay, loaded with a pair of Spinex humbuckers.

An incredibly well-crafted, soulful, and powerful-sounding instrument boasting neck-through construction, the SG3000 lives up its reputation of being a "Les Paul Killer." Tonally, the guitar has an array of immediate and articulate tones with singing sustain and rich drive. The low end is clear, broad, and punchy, while the treble response has a silky, singing quality. Both humbuckers also feature individual push/push coil taps too, for sparkling single coil tonalities. This Yamaha SG3000 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The Metallic Black finish has a dense metalflake sparkle, framed on top by multi-ply abalone binding. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a handful of faint scratches and pinhead-sized dings on the body as a whole, primarily limited to the back and lower bout perimeter. Emblematic of the limited use this guitar has seen in the past nearly four decades, the rear control cavity and switch covers retain their factory adhesive protective brown paper.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included.
