Up for sale, a 1986 Fender AS-1 acoustic guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Particularly rare, this Grand Auditorium-style cutaway acoustic was made in very limited quantities between 1986-1987. Weighing 5lbs 2oz, this AS-1 features an X-braced spruce top, maple back and sides, a three-piece maple neck, and a bound ebony fingerboard.
With a 16” lower bout and 5” body depth, this guitar has a bold, well-articulated sound that’s clear and bright, offering ample projection and plenty of sustain. This Fender AS-1 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .845” at 1st fret, .915” at 9th fret
-Fretboard: Ebony block mother of pearl/abalone split inlays
-Frets: Slender, leveled/crowned, wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-4
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
