One of the shortest lived top-tier models hailing from the golden age of “Made in Japan” production at the Fujigen factory, the ST72-115 was only available from 1986-87. Features include USA-made pickups, CTS pots, '70s spec Fender "F" tuners, block saddles, and a gloss Natural finish.

The ash body yields a certain midrange detail and note attack, with the silky warmth of the rosewood fingerboard. At 9lb 11oz, there's plenty of natural sustain on tap too, and these qualities translate faithfully through the original American Standard pickup set (also first released in '86).
