Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1986 Charvel by Jackson Model 2M in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced at the Chu Shin factory in Japan as part of a licensing agreement between IMC and Jackson/Charvel, this no-frills Superstrat features a Kahler 2520 tremolo and a gloss Pearl White finish.

Tonewoods include a basswood body, quartersawn maple neck, and 22-fret maple fretboard (hence the “M” in Model 2M), and the locking tremolo differentiates the Model 2 from the Model 1. The J90C ceramic magnet high-output humbucker is built to shred, retaining great articulation even with heavy gain for monster chording and white-hot melodic playing. Weighing 8lbs 2oz, this Model 2 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Quartersawn maple
-Shape: Slender D, measuring .735" 1st fret, .890" 12th fret
-Fretboard: Maple slab, 12”-16” compound radius, 22-fret
-Fretwire: Jumbo, no wear
-Scale: 25 1/2"
-Nut: 1 11/16",  locking nut on peghead
-Tuners: Jackson-branded, Gotoh

Body Specs:

-Wood: Basswood
-Pickup: Jackson J90C x1
-Harness: Full-size Japanese pot dates to ‘86
-Control: Volume
-Hardware: Kahler 2520 tremolo, dome-top knurled knob

The gloss Pearl White finish has a subtle metallic sheen, and cosmetic wear is limited to faint buckle rash central to the back and just a few minor nicks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth satin finish, with a few shallow marks behind frets 8-11 that are virtually undetectable to the palm.

A Ritter padded gigbag is included.
