Up for sale, a 1986 B.C. Rich Warlock from the NJ series in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A rare Japanese domestic market bolt-on neck iteration of the Warlock platform with streamlined controls, this B.C. Rich features a White gloss finish, six-on-a-side headstock, Floyd Rose-licensed vibrato tailpiece, and a pair of humbuckers. Pickups include an EMG-style bridge pickup which meters at 10k ohms, paired with a more traditional Gibson-style humbucker at the neck metering at 8k. The pickups pair well in terms of perceived output, with the bridge pickup delivering a tight, punchy sound with an accentuated upper midrange cut, while the neck pickup has a more traditional humbucker crunch and warmth. This Warlock weighs 8lbs, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a slender, fast-feeling C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges. The thick, dark slab 24 fret rosewood fretboard features pearloid dot inlay and stock medium jumbo fretwire. The frets have their full factory height and plenty of meat, showing virtually no wear. The guitar plays well in all registers up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 24 3/4“, and the bone nut measures 43mm in width (1 11/16"), just forward of the locking nut for the Floyd Rose. The six-on-a-side headstock features chrome B.C. Rich-branded tuners, and the foil stickered serial number and Pat. Pending stickers are present on the back.On the body, the electronics function as intended, with a three-way pickup selector toggle, and Master Volume and Tone controls capped with black knurled knobs. The chrome-plated hardware is gleaming, and the locking Floyd Rose-Licensed tremolo engages easily for deep dive bombs and sharp trills, complete with the original arm. The gloss White finish is applied nice and thin with sparingly little aging, and cosmetic wear is limited to a few tiny dings on the body as a whole, a tiny bit of finish checking at the edges of the neck pocket, and two very small finish chips on the lower bout body points. The lightly ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is very smooth.A gigbag is included.
