Up for sale, a 1985 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-55 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early “Made in Japan” Stratocaster with an A-prefix serial number was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production and is uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring vintage accurate touches including a block logo on the headstock, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.
The trio of Alnico magnet single coils deliver distinct tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch: the neck pickup has a bell-like chime and warmth, with thinned-out squawk in positions 2 and 4, and a sparkling spank in the bridge position. This ST72-55 weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
