Up for sale, a 1985 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-55 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series “Made in Japan” Stratocaster was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production and is uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring vintage accurate touches including a block logo on the headstock, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.
The trio of ST-Current alnico magnet single coils deliver distinct tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch: the neck pickup has a bell-like chime and warmth, with thinned-out squawk in positions 2 and 4, and a sparkling spank in the bridge position. This JV Stratocaster ST72-65 weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
