Up for sale, a 1985 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-80 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early and upscale “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass was crafted at the venerable Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, uncommon outside of its country of origin. Vintage-correct touches include long-stem clover button tuners with full-size baseplates, spiral (threaded) saddles, black bobbin pickups with cloth-covered leads, and a pencil-dated neck heel.
Weighing 9lbs 2oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, delivering plenty of sustain and a balanced, smooth acoustic quality. The pair of JB-Vintage single coil pickups deliver a touch of aggressive growl, ample midrange presence and burp, and focused low end power. This Jazz Bass JB62-80 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The ambered gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth with just a couple shallow marks.
