1985 Fender Jazz Bass '62 Vintage Reissue JB62-80 Olympic White, Japan MIJ Fujigen

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 1985 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-80 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early and upper-tiered “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass was crafted at the venerable Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, uncommon outside of its country of origin and featuring vintage-correct touches including long-stem clover button tuners and spiral (threaded) saddles.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and at 10lbs 8oz, the instrument has plenty of sustain and a balanced, smooth acoustic quality. Plugged in, the pair of original single coil pickups deliver a touch of aggressive growl, ample midrange presence and burp, and focused low end. This Jazz Bass benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.
