Up for sale, a 1985 B.C. Rich Ironbird in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag. This rare Ironbird was crafted in Japan as part of the NJ Series (Nagoya, Japan), featuring a pair of HB Super Distortion-style humbuckers and a Kahler 2300 tremolo.

The tonewood complement comprises a basswood body, maple neck, and 24-fret rosewood fretboard. The Super Distortion-style high-output humbuckers are aggressive and cutting, with meaty chunk in the neck position and tighter bite and growl at the bridge. This Ironbird weighs 8lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Red finish includes light buckle rash and one small chip central to the back, and limited chipping on the perimeter at the body points (commonly seen on the more extreme B.C. Rich shapes). There is also a bit of pick scuffing and an extra doweled strap button mounting hole. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original form-fit faux leather gigbag is included.
