Up for sale, a circa 1985 B.C. Rich Warlock in perfect working order. Made for the Japanese domestic market as part of the NJ series (short for Nagoya, Japan) and uncommon outside its country of origin, this Warlock features a Gotoh Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo system and an upgraded pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers.
Weighing 8lb 1oz, tonewoods include a basswood body and heavily figured maple neck capped by a dark 24-fret rosewood fretboard. The pickups are a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbuckers, with the bridge pickup wound by the celebrated Maricela Juarez, the “Queen of the SD Custom Shop" who’s wound pickups for artists like Slash, Eric Clapton, and Billy Gibbons, to name just a few. The SH-4 JB pair delivers full, powerful lows, crisp and detailed highs, and an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to chords and translates to a singing, vocal-like quality for melodic playing. This NJ Series Warlock has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
- Neck: Figured maple
- Shape: Slender D, measuring .820” at 1st fret, .930” at 12th fret
