Up for sale, a 1984 Fender Telecaster ‘72 vintage reissue model TL72-55 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An early Fender Japan model with an A-prefix serial number produced at the Fujigen factory and offered only in the Japanese domestic market, this TL72 is uncommon outside its country of origin.
Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this guitar has a bold natural acoustic quality with great treble snap and midrange oomph; qualities faithfully captured by the pickup pair. The alnico magnet single coils deliver focused, gutsy twang in the bridge position and a smooth percussive cut at the neck. Weighing 8lbs 9oz, this Telecaster TL72-55 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-52 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
