Up for sale, a 1984 Fender “JV” Stratocaster ‘62 vintage reissue model ST62-70 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in the third year of Fender Japan production, this “Japanese Vintage” (JV) series guitar is loaded with the same pickups used on the Fender USA Fullerton factory reissues from the same year.

Extremely accurate to vintage spec and designed to be sold only within Japan, this Strat has a resonant alder body paired with a maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a balanced, clear natural acoustic quality that translates well through the pickups. True to vintage spec, the USA-made (Fullerton factory) pickups feature black bobbin flatwork, unbeveled staggered alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads. The bridge pickup is sparkling and clear, while the neck pickup has ideal fullness and a chiming bell-like top end, and the upgraded five-way pickup selector switch enables hollow Strat quack at the "in-between" settings. This JV Stratocaster ST62-70 weighs 7lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Candy Apple Red finish is limited to light buckle rash central to the back and some minor dings, primarily relegated to the lower bout. A gigbag is included.
