Up for sale, a 1984 Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal distortion effects pedal in perfect working order. A great companion for the metal guitarist or shoegazer, the legendary Boss HM-2 was produced between 1983-1991 and allows the player to channel the distinct distortion textures that defined the '80s and early 1990s, from Metallica to My Bloody Valentine. Dialing in a sweet spot with the Level control and Distortion knob is easy, and the tone can be fine-tuned with the L and H Color Mix controls.
One of Boss' most revered high gain compact pedals, the HM-2 is an early Japanese-made black label version with some small chips on the enclosure. The original silkscreen graphics are very clean, and the original quartet of orange-capped knobs are present. The black foil label on the back of the pedal is intact, as is the serialized sticker in the battery compartment, dating production to October, 1984.
