Up for sale, a 1984 Boss DD-2 Digital Delay in excellent condition, complete with the original box. Considered the first compact digital delay pedal, the DD-2 uses the same chip from the flagship Roland SDE-3000 rack delay. A classic Boss design with three distinct modes of operation, it's hard to beat the DD-2 for clean, yet warm delay tones, crystal clear repeats, and the time tested reliability and tonal consistency of Boss.
This pedal allows the player to go from chorus-y shimmer to 800ms atmospheric repeats almost instantly, with a hold function that lets the signal repeat indefinitely while playing over it. The additional direct output can be used to play through a second amp for a true stereo delay setup.
Cosmetic wear is limited to some expected light scratches and chips on the white enclosure. This DD-2 is an early Made in Japan iteration with a blue foil label, serial number sticker in the battery compartment (dating production to May, 1984), and the original quartet of knobs.
