Up for sale, 1983 Greco Mint Collection model EGC68-50 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a brown Lifton-style hardshell case. Crafted at the venerable Fujigen factory, this “lawsuit era” Mint Collection Greco is a clear response to the ‘68 Les Paul Custom. And while no legal action was taken against Greco for these guitars, Gibson did commission the same factory to make their "Orville" line of instruments which were exclusively sold within Japan.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body with a carved three-piece maple top and a one-piece mahogany neck with a long tenon joint and a bound rosewood fretboard. The Fujigen-made "Screamin" PAF-style humbuckers are detailed and rich, with plenty of definition and power from the bridge pickup and more warmth and fullness in the neck position. This Greco weighs 9lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
