Up for sale, a 1983 Fender JV Telecater Thinline ‘72 vintage reissue model TN72-70 in 100% original condition, finished in Butterscotch Blonde and complete with a tweed hardshell case. Produced in the second year of Fender Japan instrument production, this "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series is a rare and extremely early example of the Thinline model, crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production.
Boasting Wide Range humbuckers more tonally faithful to the Seth Lover-designed originals than many other Fender reissues of the era, this guitar is fat and full-sounding while retaining a distinctive, sweet top end character and percussive cut. The ash body provides a certain midrange punch, and the semi-hollow construction adds a warmth and openness to the sound. This Telecaster Thinline weighs only 7lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Blonde finish exhibits some finish chips along the lower bout perimeter, light buckle rash on the bass side of the back, and some minor dings on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss on the neck has some shallow marks on the profile length that don’t distract the palm while fretting.
A modern tweed hardshell case is included.
