Up for sale, a 1983 Fender JV Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-65 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series Stratocaster is an extremely early version of the ‘72 Strat platform, crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production and uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring vintage accurate touches including a block logo on the headstock, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.
Tonewoods include an ash body with a one-piece maple neck, and the trio of flat pole alnico magnet single coils deliver classic Strat tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch. The neck pickup has a bell-like chime and warmth, the bridge position yields sparkling cut, and the “in-between” positions have a hollow quack. This ST72-55 weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
