Up for sale, a 1983 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-75 in perfect working order. Produced in the second year of Fender Japan production, this "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series bass is a rare, upper-tiered model, with a gloss Black finish, black bobbin pickups, cloth-covered leads, and vintage-spec hardware including long stem clover-button tuners and spiral bridge saddles.
The tonewood complement comprises a resonant alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JB62-75 weighs 9lbs 4oz. The black bobbin pickups are wound to recreate the best qualities of genuine vintage Jazz Bass, with plenty of midrange growl and burp, top end detail and fundamental power. Rolling back the Tone knob yields a pillowy, thick thump that retains definition. This Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation.
