Up for sale, a 1982 Navigator by ESP Random Star model RS-FM in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This exceedingly rare iteration of the Random Star platform was produced by ESP under the Navigator banner, featuring a flame maple top on a mahogany body, a pair of LH-200 humbuckers, and a double-locking tremolo.
A maple neck and dark 22-fret rosewood fretboard round out the tonewood complement. The pair of LH-200 humbuckers are wound to 8.1k ohms, delivering an ideal blend of clarity and warmth. The bridge has a more focused bite and upper-midrange sizzle, and the neck pickup is full and girthy with an airy-yet-tight low end. This RS-FM weighs 7lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Cherry Sunburst finish is framed on top by amber binding, highlighting the flame figuring extending uniformly across the top. Cosmetic wear is limited to light buckle wear central to the back and just a few tiny dings on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the perimeter. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless and highlights birdseye figuring in the maple.
The original form-fit faux leather gigbag is included.
