Up for sale, a 1982 Ibanez Lee Ritenour signature LR10 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Designed in tandem with jazz guitarist Lee Ritenour, this Ibanez was crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan. This first-year iteration of the LR10 is notable for its genuine Brazilian rosewood fretboard, a feature which was retired from this model post-1984. The F hole inserts have also been removed, yet are present in the case.

Tonewoods include a light figured flame maple body with a maple/mahogany centerblock, mahogany/maple neck, and bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and this LR10 has ample natural resonance and warmth, providing an ideal platform for the LR10 Special humbuckers. The Maxon-made LR10 Special humbuckers are rich and detailed, with a defined bass register. This LR10 weighs 8lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The multi-ply body binding has deeply ambered, exhibiting checking and discoloration on the lower bout in particular, extremely common with Ibanez models of this era. All binding has been stabilized and is in markedly better shape than most. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Antique Violin finish is otherwise limited to just a few faint finish scratches on the body, while the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original hardshell case is included.
