Up for sale, a 1982 Greco TL800 “Brazen Picker” in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Crafted at the Fujigen factory during the Mint Collection era of Greco production (and within a month of when the Fujigen factory would also begin producing the first Fender Japan instruments), this top-tier Greco Tele is an exceptionally faithful recreation of the original Blackguard Telecaster, boasting vintage-accurate features including a V-shaped neck profile, five-screw pickguard, brass saddles, flathead screws throughout, and a sen ash body with a gloss lacquer Butterscotch Blonde finish.

Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this TL800 has a resonant, balanced acoustic profile, offering the midrange complexity and note attack of ash. The single coil pickup pair has raised D and G poles at the bridge, and there’s plenty of note attack and lively treble cut on tap in the bridge position, with a bold, bell-like chop at the neck. This TL800 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Butterscotch lacquer finish highlights the notably tight grain in the sen ash body, with just a few small chips along the lower bout perimeter and some minor dings on the top and back at the lower bout. The smooth gloss on the neck profile has a few shallow marks that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.

A vintage Japanese black tolex hardshell case is included.
