Up for sale, a 1982 Greco Super Real Mint Collection EG59-50 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Heralding from the most collectable (and brief) era of Greco production and the pinnacle of Fujigen design, this EG59-50 dates to the transitional moment between the Mint Collection and Super Real production lines, retaining the Super Real branding on the headstock while dating to early ‘82 (the first year of Mint Collection production).
Tonewoods include a solid (non-weight relieved) mahogany body, two-piece maple top, one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard. This EG59-50 weighs 9lbs 15oz, dishing out plenty of natural sustain and midrange warmth. Wound in-house at Fujigen, the “Screamin’” PAF-style humbuckers deliver a great array of traditional Les Paul-style sounds: the bridge position has a rich growl with great note attack and harmonic complexity, while the neck pickup is fat and round with a woody cut. This EG59-50 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
