Up for sale, a 1992 Fernandes BG-180 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A faithful, 6-string iteration of the B.C. Rich Bich platform, this Japanese-made Fernandes features neck-through construction and active electronics.
Tonewoods include a maple neck, koa body wings with walnut stringers, and a bound 24-fret rosewood fretboard. The humbuckers are designed in the vein of a DiMarzio Dual Sound, essentially an expansion on the Super Distortion platform, delivering the rich harmonic content and midrange bump of that iconic pickup, wired to interact well with the versatile active electronics. Each pickup has its own preamp to boost the signal, along with a six-position Varitone-style control, a Phase mini toggle, dedicated Coil Taps, and the usual Volume/Tone controls for maximum sonic flexibility. This BG-180 weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
