Up for sale, a 1982 Fender JV Precision Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model PB62-75 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A first-year Fender Japan model made at Fujigen, this Precision Bass was part of the JV (Japanese Vintage) series which paralleled early Fender vintage reissue production at Fender's Fullerton, CA factory. Features include a black bobbin USA-made (Fullerton) split coil pickup, vintage-correct reverse gear tuning machines and threaded bridge saddles.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JV Precision Bass weighs 9lbs 2oz, offering a balanced, resonant acoustic platform with smooth sustain. The USA-made split-coil pickup is the same seen in Fullerton reissues of the era, delivering pillowy thump, rich growl and round treble punch. This Precision Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

A soulful, well-loved example, cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish includes some finish chips on the body perimeter, buckle rash on the upper bout of the back, pick scuffing on top (largely constrained to the pickguard), and a number of dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. Additionally, the strap buttons have been relocated adjacent to the original locations, which have been doweled. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, with a handful of shallow marks along the profile length, none of which are distracting to the palm while fretting.

The original faux leather gigbag is included.
